GCash Tap to Pay Appears on iOS

GCash’s Tap to Pay option has appeared on the iOS app, but the feature does not appear to be fully working on iPhone yet.

Some iOS users have already received the Tap to Pay option in the GCash app, while others have yet to see it. This indicates that the feature may be rolling out gradually to users.

In case you missed it, Tap to Pay is already supported on Android devices.

How to Use Tap to Pay

For users who already see the option in the GCash app:

  1. Log in to the GCash app.
  2. Tap View All Services.
  3. Look for Tap to Pay under the Pay section.
  4. Agree to the Terms and Conditions.
  5. Hold your phone near a compatible payment terminal.

The phone must support NFC, and the user must be a Fully Verified GCash user. Tap to Pay is intended for in-store payments and does not apply to ATM or online transactions.

GCash has yet to provide details on when the feature will be fully supported on iOS.

Stay tuned for further updates.
