Garmin Forerunner 70, 170, and 170 Music are now available in the Philippines.
Starting with the Garmin Forerunner 70, the smartwatch features a 1.2-inch AMOLED display, GPS support, heart rate monitoring, sleep tracking, Pulse Ox, stress tracking, and training tools such as VO2 Max, recovery time, and training readiness. It focuses on longer battery life, offering up to 13 days in smartwatch mode and up to 23 hours in GPS mode. The base model also does not support contactless payments.
Meanwhile, the Garmin Forerunner 170 features a 1.2-inch AMOLED display, heart rate monitoring, Pulse Ox tracking, sleep tracking, stress monitoring, and training tools such as VO2 Max, training readiness, and recovery tracking. Compared to the Forerunner 70, it adds more sensors and fitness features, including a barometric altimeter, compass, gyroscope, and support for open-water swimming. It also adds Garmin Pay support for contactless payments. Battery life is rated at up to 10 days in smartwatch mode and up to 20 hours in GPS-only mode.
Lastly, the Garmin Forerunner 170 Music comes with the same features as the standard Forerunner 170 but adds onboard music and podcast storage, built-in music playback support, and Wi-Fi connectivity. Battery life is rated at up to 10 days in smartwatch mode and up to 20 hours in GPS-only mode.
As for the pricing, the Garmin Forerunner 70 is priced at PHP 15,990, while the Garmin Forerunner 170 and Forerunner 170 Music are priced at PHP 19,290 and PHP 22,290, respectively.
