Black Shark 5 seems to be a continuation of the success of its predecessor, the Black Shark 4. The gaming phone has recently been launched in the United States as the global version of the phone. But, this is not just a gamer device anymore, but rather a highly cost-effective solution that’s available to a wider general public.
Design and Features
The Black Shark 5 presents a more mainstream appearance than its predecessor, continuing on the design philosophy it established with its predecessor. It does have an amazing camera module with a futuristic design that is similar to that of the original camera, but it also has an edge-curved back cover that might make you think it’s the newest flagship model out there. In spite of this, it still looks interesting than the majority of the new flagships these days.
In the Black Shark 5 the structure is similar to the Black Shark 4 series. The rear of this phone has a mech-style pattern, although the metal frame looks a lot more appealing than the glass. The phone comes with an RGB LED flash as well as a camera module, confirming its status as a gaming phone. However, if there is one thing to keep in mind, it is that like many other gaming phones, the Black Shark 5 is, on the whole, quite bulky. In spite of its compromise on weight, you might overlook it when you are holding it in your hands because of its high engineering quality.Â
There has also been an upgrade to the main camera from 48 MP to 64 MP. Additionally, the white balance performance has been improved. However, there are also a number of decent features in the 13MP wide-angle camera as well. Despite the fact that the 13MP resolution is lower than the 64MP resolution of the main lens, users are still able to see a lot of detail and have consistent colors even when using main lens.
Therefore, when it comes to its imaging capabilities, there is still a gap compared with those in camera phones. Even so, it is still good to know that there have been improvements within the series other than those regarding gaming.
The good stuffs does not end here because Black Shark 5 does not seem to have shrunk in comparison with the Black Shark Pro model. Furthermore, the phone features a 4650 mAh battery that is capable of 120 W wired fast charging.
