On our concluded Z5 VS Z5 Compact comparison, we were dumbfounded by some extreme consistencies that Sony has done to both devices and so, seeing all this similarities and consistencies first hand, got us wanting to see whether it stays consistent up to the Z5 Premium, once we get our hands on it anyways. And with that, we wanted to highlight five similarities that we found on our Xperia Z5 and Z5 Compact comparison review.

Consistent in Still image shooting

On the camera part of our comparison review, we highlighted the amazing similarities that the Xperia Z5 and Z5 Compact holds, in terms of delivering consistent color accurate, detail-oriented and spot-on white balance outputs, which when we paired up with each other was simply extravagant. The consistent images whether in daylight or lowlight showcases both their camera sensor quality tenfold, with the 23MP f/2.0 rear shooter, showcasing a fairly accurate performance, despite differentiating in phone type. Truly one of the great smartphone camera shooters of recent times, both Xperia Z5 and Z5 Compact deserves the praise all in all.

Consistent video recording

Similar to their still image output quality, video outputs were spot on in terms of quality, and what quality it is. Crisp and sharp video outputs were the result of Sony’s excellent well-made sensor and provided it with consistent quality throughout both devices. The Xperia Z5 and Z5 Compact’s video outputs were truly at par with one another and it is something that many can agree upon. Difference in video quality is nonexistent, which is highly expected of these modern day smartphone video shooters.

Consistency in system

System-wise, the Xperia Z5 and Z5 Compact are not exactly 100% consistent with one another, namely because they have a difference in RAM capacity, with the Xperia Z5 carrying a much larger 3GB of RAM, in comparison to the 2GB of RAM, which the Xperia Z5 Compact is carrying, however, in terms of benchmarks, it seems that both devices are fairly on par with one another in terms of system capability, since primarily, they are both running on a Snapdragon 810 SoC, which is a highly commendable chip for these devices to fit in their pocket of tricks. The Xperia Z5 and Z5 Compact might have a few differences in system, but, when you look at the bigger picture, they seem to carry a very consistent system, which showcase little to know difference from one another.

On the speaker department, both their front-facing stereo speakers played out a huge role in providing excellent audio outputs, which they delivered easily through the speaker comparison. They showcased great and excellent audio output with decent volume level, which was actually heard to be really accurate with one another, with that, the Xperia Z5 and Z5 Compact was tied on the speaker department, due to delivering pretty much the same quality of audio with one another.

Consistency in display

For display, we were shocked by the thought of Xperia Z5 Compact giving off the same quality in display as the original Xperia Z5, which is actually weird, since the Xperia Z5 Compact carries a smaller screen size and a lower screen resolution, which it also carries a lower version of Adreno in its graphics system, but, at the end, we were dumbfounded, as they seem to be highly similar in terms of display quality, which there only seen difference is the more vibrance of colors in the Xperia Z5. Other than that little difference, both devices were par from each other. In fact, if you are to just look at their screen and not the body design, you might not even notice who’s who. The Xperia Z5 and Z5 Compact’s consistently excellent display quality, sets it as a standard to follow by future flagships or flagships in the making.
