DJI Mic Mini 2S Now Official

DJI has unveiled its latest compact wireless microphone product, the DJI Mic Mini 2S.

The DJI Mic Mini 2S features a compact design and weighs approximately 12 grams. The transmitter features a detachable, rotatable magnetic back clip for easy adjusting. Users can customize its magnetic front cover, while available colors include Obsidian Black and Cloud White, with eight additional colors and five variations of windproof fur sold separately.

Inside it is a 14.5GB of built-in storage, supporting up to 28 hours of loop recording using the default 24-bit mode. It also supports 32-bit floating-point internal recording, which expands the dynamic range to seamlessly handle extreme volume shifts without digital clipping, and users can choose in either raw format for post-production work or pre-processed format for immediate use.

Up to 34MB per second of data transfer is supported, allowing 30 minutes of 24-bit audio to transfer in approximately 8 seconds.

Built on a hybrid 4-transmitter, 1-receiver architecture, the DJI Mic Mini 2S receiver supports up to four simultaneous transmitter connections. It features mono, stereo, and a specialized quad mode that outputs four independent tracks for multi-talent isolation.

Wireless transmission distance can reach up to 400 meters under optimal conditions.

For backup, the DJI Mimo app includes a -6 dB safety track to prevent clipping. Additionally, the system features backward compatibility, allowing cross-generational pairing with previous DJI Mic Mini and Mic Mini 2 transmitters.

Compatible DJI imaging devices can be connected to the transmitter via bluetooth through the DJI OsmoAudio ecosystem without requiring a dedicated receiver. For traditional setups, the receiver can mount to compatible Sony cameras via a DJI hot shoe adapter, enabling a direct digital audio pipeline for four independent tracks while drawing power straight from the camera body.

The Mic Mini 2S features a proprietary AI noise reduction model with two operational tiers: a “Weak” mode designed for optimized indoor use to lessen static background noise, and a “Strong” mode tailored for dense outdoor environments to combat wind or traffic.

Battery life is rated for up to a total of 40 hours with the charging case, while 10 hours on the receiver and up to 11 hours on the transmitter. A 5-minute charge provides approximately 1 hour of operation.

The DJI Mic Mini 2S is priced at CNY 399 (~PHP 3,620.00) for the transmitter only, CNY 629 (~PHP 5,706.72) for the Mic Mini 2S standard 1-to-1 package, and the Mic Mini 2S full kit retails for CNY 1,199 (~PHP 10,878.16).
