DJI has launched the Mavic Air 2 for the global market. In the Philippines, it has a price of P39,990 while the Fly-More-Combo costs P52,990. The new Mavic Air 2 features 8K hyperlapse, a quad-Bayer 48MP camera sensor, and QuickShots that easily capture professional-looking shots with ease. Availability in the country remains to be seen, so stay tuned for that.

The Mavic Air 2’s flight time is now the longest amongst the DJI drone family, thanks to the 3500mAH capacity offering up to 34 minutes of battery life. Aside from runtime, camera quality gets a significant boost, too. The new drone comes equipped with a 48MP f2.8 1/2″ CMOS sensor that bins photos to 12MP output, however, there’s an option to shoot full 48MP photos. Speaking of, night mode or multiple-exposure capturing arrives in the Mavic Air 2 — a first for a drone. Video recording gets a major boost, allowing up to 8K H.265 video hyper-lapse, 4K@60fps, 4KHDR@30fps, 2.7K@60fps (with HDR@30fps), and FHD@120fps (with HDR@30fps).

Thanks to the improved controller, the maximum flight distance is 18.5km with the ability to transmit 1080p videos up to 10km through OcuSync 2.0. Owning the Mavic Air 2 means getting great drone shots with ease. Due to the addition of QuickShots, you can choose pre-defined shots that allow the drone to do creative shots automatically. The feature is made possible by Active Track 3.0, Spotlight 2.0, Point of Interest 3.0, Obstacle Avoidance, and Advanced Pilot Assistance Systems 3.0 (APAS).
