DJI has launched its ROMO robot vacuum cleaner lineup in South Korea.
The series focuses on full floor coverage, high suction power, and low maintenance. It includes three models:
The ROMO series uses dual fisheye vision sensors and wide-angle dual-transmitter solid-state LiDAR for navigation and obstacle detection.
DJI says the system can detect objects as small as 2 mm. Machine learning helps the robot recognize and avoid obstacles while cleaning. The sensors also allow the robot to move under low furniture like beds and sofas, even in low-light conditions.
ROMO uses DJI’s mapping and navigation technology to adjust cleaning paths in real time based on room layout and obstacles.
The ROMO P stands out with transparent panels on both the robot and the base station, allowing users to see internal components during operation.

The robot offers up to 25,000 Pa of suction power with 20 liters per second airflow. When loose debris is detected, the robot slows down and adjusts brush speed to reduce scattering.
Twin high-torque motors drive the roller brushes, helping collect hair, dust, and larger debris while reducing tangling.
The self-cleaning base station is designed for long-term use with minimal user input. It uses four high-pressure water jets, a 16 mm waste outlet, and applies 12 newtons of pressure to clean mop pads.
DJI claims this setup supports up to 200 days of maintenance-free operation. A three-stage noise reduction system reduces dust collection noise by up to 80 percent.
ROMO includes a 164 ml onboard water tank and automatically adjusts water flow based on stain levels.

The ROMO P adds a separate compartment for a floor deodorizer, allowing different cleaning routines for specific areas such as kitchens.
Control is handled through the DJI Home app, which offers preset and custom modes for carpets, thresholds, bathrooms, and pet areas.
The robot supports 55W charging and fully charges in around 2.5 hours.

The DJI ROMO series is now available for pre-order in South Korea. Pricing are as follows:
