DICT: PCSO Facebook Page Not Hacked

On the morning of December 5, 2023, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) took swift action by temporarily shutting down its official Facebook page after explicit photos surfaced on the platform.

Now, according to the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), those ‘inappropriate’ pics on the PCSO Facebook page might just be a case of someone being a bit careless.

DICT’s Assistant Secretary, Renato Paraiso, shared in a Radyo 360 interview that it’s not some grand hacking scheme but more of an ‘internal thing.’ Someone in charge of the Facebook page got a bit careless.

But, no need to panic! The DICT says there’s no compromising of data.

Also, the PCSO Facebook page is back and online and the public can access information on games and activities through the PCSO Games Online Hub Facebook page.
