Sony has had the Xperia 5 series for a few years now. Compared to the Xperia 1 range, the Xperia 5 series is a more compact and cheap flagship. The Xperia 5 phones usually come out in the second half of the year, and the new Xperia 5 V is no different. It looks a lot like the Xperia 1 V, which came out in 2013.
Sony announced the Xperia 5 V on September 1, but there is no word yet on when it will actually go on sale. We think the phone will be sold in the US, the UK, Europe, and some parts of Asia.
