‘Pixel 2B’ – cheaper Google Pixel

Yes, finally, Google is about to release a cheaper Google Pixel for its next iteration.

Back in October 2016, Google made headlines as they announced their very first flagship smartphone – the Google Pixel. No doubt it’s a beast with its latest hardware and stock android UI but the hefty price tag makes it a hard buy for customers.

According to 9to5Google, the next batch of Google Pixel will bring a lot of enhancements including the highest rated DxOmark camera of Pixel and a mid-range model named ‘Pixel 2B‘.

Furthermore, the latest move by Google to release an ‘affordable’ Pixel is aimed at ’emerging markets’ with shipments starting after the release of Pixel 2.

On the other hand, the rumored Pixel 2 is currently being tested with two different chipsets namely: Intel and Qualcomm.

If there is something lacking with the current Pixel in terms of build, that might be the waterproofing. Various report suggest that it will be included in the next iteration but this is not yet confirmed by Google.

In terms of pricing, expect at least $50 increase once the Pixel 2 goes official.
