BPI officially announces its removal for the “Load E-Wallet” option for GCash and Maya from its app this month.
According to their official announcement, the Load E-wallet option to known e-wallets GCash and Maya will be soon removed from its app.
Users can still load and top up their GCash and Maya accounts by using InstaPay, which is still available on its app.
Juts use the transfer to other banks and users may select G-Xchange/Gcash for GCash transfers and Maya Philippines Inc./Maya Waller for Maya transfers. This transfer costs PHP25 per transaction.
As an alternative, users can still “Cash In” directly inside the GCash app, which only charges a PHP5 convenience fee.
The “Load E-Wallet” option will be officially removed from the BPI application starting February 13, 2025.
