Boox is expected to launch the Picco, a compact e-reader this 2026.
The Boox Picco features a 3.97-inch e-paper touchscreen. It has physical page-turn buttons that can be customized for different actions.
It also includes adjustable front lighting and options to change fonts, spacing, and text alignment.
Unlike other Boox e-readers that run on Android, the Picco uses a simplified Linux-based operating system focused on reading. This also means users may not be able to install third-party apps.
The device is expected to rely on microSD card storage, with books transferable through USB-C or a companion Wi-Fi app. The USB-C port is also used for charging.

Boox is also planning to include features such as a reading statistics tracker, to-do list, Pomodoro timer, and countdown timer.
Several details, including the device’s battery life, Bluetooth support, audiobook compatibility, price, and availability, have yet to be confirmed.
The Boox Picco is expected to launch globally in November 2026. Philippine availability has not been announced.
