
The new Asus Zenfone 5 has just been unveiled in the Mobile World Congress 2018. According to the company, this model will be the most intelligent Zenfone ever for it will contain the power of AI that will aid in delivering perfect photos every time. The phone will also feature a striking all-screen dual-camera design. Here are some technical specifications and our initial impression of the pre-production Zenfone 5.
As mentioned, Asus claims that the Asus Zenfone 5 will include AI photography along with other AI features such as AI display, AI ringtone, and AI performance. Along with these, the new model will also contain the Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 SoC, making it the first globally announced smartphone to use Snapdragon 636 SoC with Multi-core AI.
The Zenfone 5 can recognize 16 different scenes as well as adjust the colors, saturation, white balance, and dynamic based on the scenes it detects, therefore making photography a whole lot easier. Not only this, the device can also analyze the user’s preference in regards to their preferred outcome from pictures they took through AI photo learning. Along with the AI photography, the phone will also feature light sensitive main and wide-angle dual rear cameras.

The smartphone will also contain Smart Charging, enabling the phone to detect the user’s daily charging patterns and adjust when needed to prevent the device from heating up. ASUS also claims that the new Zenfone’s battery life is doubled when compared to a normal smartphone.
The pre-production Zenfone 5 comes with a 6.2″ screen in a 5.5″ body, and with a notch on top, similar to the iPhone’s. The phone’s weight and size also matches with each other. This may not appeal to some, though. Well, as we’ve mentioned, it’s only a pre-production unit and not the final one.
