Apple has made its hypertension notifications feature available in the Philippines, starting October 15, 2026.
The feature alerts users when their Apple Watch detects consistent signs of chronic high blood pressure.
How does it work?
The feature uses data from the watch’s optical heart sensor to analyze how blood vessels respond to heartbeats. It reviews data over 30-day periods and sends a notification if it detects patterns associated with hypertension.
Keep in mind that the feature does not detect all cases of high blood pressure and is not a replacement for medical diagnosis.
Apple recommends that users who receive a notification monitor their blood pressure for seven days using a third-party blood pressure monitor and share the results with their healthcare provider.

The feature is not yet available on the Apple Watch Series 12 and Ultra 4 in the Philippines, as these models are still awaiting additional regulatory clearances. Apple expects support for these models to arrive next year.
