
Apple has announced updated 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models powered by the new M5 Pro and M5 Max chips.
The laptop comes with a 14.2-inch Liquid Retina XDR display with 3024 x 1964 resolution at 254 pixels per inch, and 1600 nits peak HDR brightness.
The device also has a 12MP Center Stage camera, studio microphones, and a six-speaker sound system.

The new chips feature an upgraded CPU and GPU, along with improved unified memory bandwidth.
Apple says the new models deliver up to four times faster AI performance compared to the previous generation, and up to eight times faster AI performance compared to M1-based models.
M5 Pro supports up to 64GB of unified memory with up to 307GB/s memory bandwidth, while M5 Max supports up to 128GB of unified memory with up to 614GB/s memory bandwidth.

Battery life is rated at up to 24 hours. The laptops support fast charging, reaching up to 50% in 30 minutes using a 96W or higher USB-C power adapter.
The new models run on macOS Tahoe, which includes updates to Spotlight, Shortcuts, and Apple Intelligence features.

Apple says the new MacBook Pro models will be available soon through its online store and authorized resellers in the Philippines.
