Apple has announced the HomePod mini 2.
The HomePod mini 2 is powered by Apple’s S10 chip and uses computational audio to optimize sound quality. It supports single-speaker playback, stereo pairing, and multiroom audio.
Additionally, Siri AI will arrive through a future software update. It is designed to support more natural conversations, understand personal context, answer questions using up-to-date web information, and improve music discovery. When paired with an Apple Intelligence-enabled iPhone or iPad, it can also help users complete tasks across supported apps.

The speaker can recognize up to six household members by voice and supports smart home controls, automations, and scenes through the Apple Home app.

It also includes Sound Recognition, which can notify users if it detects a smoke or carbon monoxide alarm.
Apple says Siri AI will initially be available in English in the United States, Australia, Canada, India, New Zealand, Singapore, South Africa, and the United Kingdom.
