AOC‘s AGON line has just been reinforced with the top-of-the-line G2 models, with instant IPS screens. AGON by AOC is releasing four monitors with and without height-adjustable base and USB ports, offering a higher refresh rate at 165Hz.

The AGON by AOC line portfolio presents a wide variety of possibilities for different types of players. Casual users are more inclined towards the flat IPS or curved screens of the G2 line, while more hardcore gamers look for the 1000R curvature of the G3 line. Monitors like the 24″ 24G2U and 27″ 27G2U are two of the best sellers on the market, thanks to their great value for money.

AGON will ensure that they remain top sellers by updating them to a 165 Hz refresh rate. Starting in late March, the 24G2SPU and 27G2SPU will replace the 24G2U and 27G2U. Equipped with ergonomic bases that allow for height, tilt and angle customization, these monitors perfectly fit users’ needs and are enhanced for gaming use. The 24G2SPU and 27G2SPU feature an integrated four-port USB hub, allowing users to connect mice and keyboards to the monitor, in addition to having built-in 2W speakers.

The models’ elegant 3-sided frameless configuration fits perfectly into modern workstations and enhances multi-monitor setups. IPS panels deliver incredible Full HD resolution, giving gamers high frame rates without straining the graphics card. 165Hz refresh rate produces a cleaner gaming experience, giving gamers the competitive edge. A 1ms MPRT response time virtually eradicates ghosting for sharp, blur-free images, while Adaptive-Sync support stops stutter and tearing using a variable refresh rate.

Users who use more than one monitor may consider simpler monitors. The AGON by AOC range offers the 24G2SPAE and 27G2SPAE as reduced options without a USB hub and with a simpler stand. Similar to the 24G2SPU and 27G2SPU in terms of screen, but with a smaller feature set, they are fully suitable for dual/triple monitor setups or consumers currently equipped with monitor arms like AOC’s AD110D0 using the VESA mount option.

All four models feature gaming-specific functions such as Game Color (to adjust saturation), Dial Point (a layer for more accurate aiming), LowBlue Mode for long overnight gaming sessions, and three different gaming modes: FPS, RTS and Racing.

Pricing and availability

The AOC GAMING 24G2SPU and 27G2SPU will launch in select markets between March and April 2022 for US$263.80 and US$324.47. The AOC GAMING 24G2SPAE and 27G2SPAE will be available from July 2022 for US$237.42 and US$296.77.
