Google unveiled the Android 13 (Go edition) OS for budget Android phones after announcing the Android 13 OS in August. Reliability, usability, and customization were the three areas Google concentrated on to enhance Android 13’s performance (Go edition).
For Android smartphones with 2 GB of RAM, the Android 13 (Go edition) is intended. It introduces Material You design to Go edition devices for the first time. Users of a device running Android 13 (Go edition) will see four color schemes when setting a wallpaper. However, it does not include the animations that are present in the Android 13 OS complete edition.
Google Discover is a feature of the most recent Go edition. Users can browse a curated array of articles and other material by just swiping right on the home screen.
The new version of Android Go includes Google Play System Updates. This enables immediate access to critical software updates (not Android OS upgrades) without having to wait for the release of the device’s maker. Google claims that it won’t use up any storage on the smartphone.
In addition to these features, Android 13 (Go edition) offers other crucial Android 13 features, including the option to accept notifications and select the language of apps.
Devices with 16 GB or less of storage and less than 2 GB of RAM should use the Android 13 (Go edition). In 2023, smartphones with Android 13 (Go edition) will be available. Over 250 million Android Go devices are now reportedly active each month, according to Google.
