A new leak has surfaced online showing what could possibly be the flagship Motorola Frontier’s back camera design sporting the 200MP Samsung ISOCELL HP1 camera sensor.
The image shows the device having three cameras with a huge cutout for the 200MP HP1 sensor with OIS and an f/2.2 aperture. If the leak is true, the smartphone would be the world’s first with a 200MP camera sensor.
The said sensor was introduced in September 2021, featuring the all-new ChameleonCell technology that offers full-pixel rendering of 2×2 pixel or 4×4 pixel layout. It can also take 8K videos at 30fps with minimum loss in the field of view. In addition, the ISOCELL HP1 sensor can merge four pixels to transform into a 50MP sensor with 1.28μm pixels to capture 8K video without having to crop or scale down the full image resolution. Ultra-high-definition 200MP images can also be captured in bright outdoor environments.
According to previous rumors, the Motorola Frontier will sport a curved 6.67-inch pOLED panel with a 144Hz refresh rate, 4nm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, up to 12GB of RAM, up to 256GB of storage, 4,500mAh battery with 125W fast charging, and 30W or 50W wireless charging.
Camera-wise, apart from the 200MP ISOCELL HP1 sensor, it will also come with a 50MP Samsung SKJN1SQ03 ultra-wide-angle shooter, a 12MP Sony IMX663 telephoto lens, and a 60MP selfie snapper.
The device is expected to launch in July 2022.
