Two of Samsung’s A-series titans battle it out in this review comparison, as the predecessor, Samsung Galaxy A7 (priced at Php 24,990) battles it out, with its successor, the Samsung Galaxy A8 (price at Php 24,990). Which among these brothers would yo want to have in hand? choose wisely.
The Galaxy A7, follows the similar all metal design and slim bezels, with sharp edged corners that were seen in past A-series handsets. Its very crafty made and looks very straight forward to be honest, its metal and it looks good. However, it seems that the A8 provided a few extra feats to the given feature. The A8 has a beautiful design and overall classy look that makes it a bit special than the A7. Considered to be one of the thinnest phones ever made, the A8 surely redefined the appeal that metal constructions give. The A8 features a fingerprint scanner, which is not seen on the A7, though the 2016 version of the A7 would soon get its hands on the feature.
Which among of these suits your style? The classy and elegant A8 or the simple and fine A7? Share your thoughts with us.

The Galaxy A7 carries a 5.5-inch 1080p Super AMOLED display, while the A8 carries a slightly larger 5.7-inch 1080p Super AMOLED display. Both phones are the same, resolution-wise, and the minor tweak in the screen department isn’t exactly noticeable. Primarily, there isn’t much difference in the display department, since both are carrying the same OLED technology in them. Overall, all seems adequate and pair in terms of screen and display quality.

The Galaxy A7 has a 13MP rear shooter and a 5MP selfie shooter, while the successor, Galaxy A8 has a 16MP rear shooter and a similar 5MP for selfie shooting. Daylight shooting was a-okay, but it can be clearly seen that the A7 had a problem in brightness, with the A7 initiating a dimmed output and dull output, while the A8 delivered excellent colour blended and bright outputs. On Selfie shooting, A8 provided a cooler colour blending and felt a bit too much on white balance, while the A7 is A7’s output was very standard, quality-wise.
For night shooting, both devices performed poorly, with very dimmed shots and noisy ones at that. It seems that the sensors couldn’t adapt to the darkness fairly and was eventually showcased unimpressive outputs.
Both the A7 and its successor, the A8 shots 1080p videos and by far very consistent yet again. Not much difference is seen on video.
Which among these sensors looks better? share us your opinion.

For benchmark scores, it seems that the A8 was seen to be better performance-wise, based on the seen ratings.

There isn’t much difference in audio for the A8 and the A7. However, upon getting closer and hearing out the sound outputs, it can be determined that the A8 was a bit louder than the Galaxy A7, however, this is hard to notice and a bit advantage in volume isn’t something to worry about.
Which among these two A-series devices would be your music companion? Share us your pick on the comments section.
Ironically, these two are not differentiating in price, with Lazada offering up both for Php 24,990. So, honestly , since both are priced at the same price on a particular place, its quite common to take the successor over the predecessor, however, the A7 is a bit more simply to understand than the latest A8, so, if you’re into simplicity and whatnot, the best choice is the A7, otherwise, you could go with the latest Galaxy A-series handset, the Galaxy A8.
