Samsung Galaxy A71 was the company’s best attempt yet to lure in budget-conscious consumers. And while it did earn our praise during its release, the company even managed to up the ante by outing the Galaxy A71 5G with Exynos 980 SoC. We’re not entirely sure whether or not Samsung will release a successor to the 4G model, but for the 5G model, it’s almost here — the Galaxy A72 5G.
Reported first by Steve Hemmersoffer through Voice, the Galaxy A72 5G official-looking renders reveal a huge camera hump with a matte-like design for the back panel. The geometric pattern is still there, but it’s the subtlest implementation we’ve seen for the past two years.
As for the cameras, initial reports said that the Galaxy A72 5G would pack five sensors. But based on the renders, it’s only using four. Much like the predecessor, the entire back is sporting “glasstic” to keep the cost to a minimum. But Steve mentioned that the railing is made of aluminum.
On the front is a centered-pinhole selfie camera, along with a nearly-symmetrical chin bezel. According to the report, the Galaxy A72 5G will come with a 5nm-based Exynos 1080 with One UI 3.9 based on Android 11. We might also see a price tag around $599 or ~Php28,700.
