Realme X7 Pro Now Official: 5G, 120Hz AMOLED, 65W Charging for P15k

Perhaps, the most exciting mid-range smartphone in 2020 just got introduced to the market — meet the Realme X7 Pro. Serving as the bigger sibling of the vanilla Realme X7, it features an FHD+ AMOLED screen with a smooth and fast 120Hz refresh rate for a price that starts at CNY 2199(≈Php15,600) only. At the same time, you’re getting 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. For the 8GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB models, you need to shed CNY 2499(≈Php17,700) and CNY 3199(≈Php22,700), respectively. Converted prices are without local taxes and fees, so expect them to change if the phones will ever arrive in the Philippines. Availability in China will start on September 7, with no word yet regarding the global release.

Poised as the Redmi K30 Ultra killer, Realme X7 Pro is packing Dimensity 1000+ chipset to enable high-end performance and 5G capability. Though the storage is of UFS 2.1, there’s no microSD slot to expand space. Like what the rumors state, the main sensor is using the good ol 64MP Sony IMX686. Alongside it is 8MP ultrawide and a couple of 2MP lenses for macro and depth. Video recording, however, reaches up to 4K@60fps with EIS on lower resolutions. The 32MP selfie camera is housed inside a pinhole cutout on the top-left corner, with selfie slo-mo of up to 120fps. Interestingly, Realme bundled the X7 Pro with stereo speakers, albeit with no headphone jack. There’s Wi-Fi 6 as well, which is rare for a premium mid-range device. The battery is rated 4500mAh and supports 65W Dart Charging. It replenishes the tank from zero to full in 35 minutes only! Color-wise, Realme X7 Pro comes in Dark Blue, White, and special edition Rainbow with a huge “Dare To Leap” tagline.

Hopefully, Realme brings this phone to the Philippines as Realme 6 Series is due for an update already.
