Due to the coronavirus pandemic, people are urged to stay at home which includes temporarily closing businesses. If you happen to be an SME owner, you’re probably feeling the effects of the global health crisis we’re in. With that in mind, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) is extending its help to SMEs. Through the “Pondo sa Pagbabago at Pag-asenso” program, DTI is letting SMEs to avail of a loan that lets them get between P200K to P500K.
Once the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) gets lifted on April 12, business owners can start applying for the said loan which comes with a five to six months grace period. The loan is payable within two to five years and is packaged with 0.5 monthly interest.
Apart from the loan assistance, DTI is also providing food carts to people wanting to generate income but lacks capital. If you want to learn more, just visit its official Facebook page.
