Along with the ASUS ROG phone which has been getting a lot of hype lately, Asus has announced two ZenBooks during the Computex event that is currently taking place in Taiwan. These two ZenBooks are the ZenBook Pro UX580 and the ZenBook S.
The ZenBook Pro UX580 features a 15.6” 4K screen display and a secondary 5.5” screen pad which also serves as a touchpad. The display has ultra slim bezels further enhancing the screen’s aspect ratio. It is powered by an Intel Core i9 processor and a Nvidia GTX 1050 Ti graphics card. The laptop contains 16GB RAM and a storage up to 1 TB SSD. A built-in fingerprint scanner was also included in the device for easier access. The device is fueled by a 71Wh 8-cell lithium-polymer battery.
As for the ZenBook S, it features a 13.3” LED backlit UHD touchscreen with a resolution of 3840×2160 and is powered by either an 8th-generation Intel Core i7-8550U or an 8th-generation Intel Core i5-8250U. For its graphics card, it sports an Intel HD Graphics 620. It also contains 16GB RAM with a storage that can reach up to 1TB. Similar to the ZenBook Pro UX 580, this also features a fingerprint scanner. Its battery is said to last for 13.5 hours according to internal Mobile Mark 2014 Office Productivity battery life benchmark results. Asus calls the ZenBook S, ErgoLift hinge, and states that it is angled at 5.5 degrees for better cooling, ergonomics and audio performance.
The ZenBook Pro UX580 will arrive in the middle of July 2018 with the price of $2,299 (approx. PHP 120,410). Meanwhile, the ZenBook S will be available on June 11, 2018, and is priced at $1,199 (approx. PHP 62,797).
