Our Asus Zenfone 2 ZE551ML vs Sony Xperia C5 Ultra comparison doesn’t end on the Ultimate Battle we published awhile ago. This time we thought of several reasons why is the Xperia C5 Ultra phablet is a better buy over Zenfone 2. Below is our top five reasons why.
Display is brighter, has better viewing angles
In our test, the Xperia C5 Ultra showed more reliable display. It is overall brighter and has better viewing angles especially in outdoors where sunlight could affect the readability of your screen.
Sony Xperia C5 Ultra has inherited some premium signature aesthetics of Sony Xperia Z series. Among those include the physical buttons, rounded sides and corners, and the speaker grilles which are symmetrically layered on front. All these attractive design elements have blended well to the near-zero bezel of Xperia C5 Ultra.
So by comparison, we think the Zenfone 2 is a good looking phone, but Xperia C5 Ultra stands out more over it.
The selfie camera of Xperia C5 Ultra is new, it’s up from 8MP of Xperia C4, with LED flash still present. Sony not only improved the pixel count but it managed to throw better white balance and color accuracy. Take a look at our example camera shots (Zenfone 2 with purple fringing), quality is close to the main camera.
Sony Xperia C5 Ultra beats the Intel-powered Asus Zenfone 2 ZE551ML in our benchmark and speed tests, thanks to the octa-core MediaTek 6752 chip which offers more powerful performance.

The Xperia UI of Sony is one of the cleanest interface we’ve experienced. The feel is very close to stock Android too, but the most important advantage it has over the Zen UI is the number of bloatware apps. In fact, most pre-installed apps on Xperia C5 Ultra are proprietary apps of Sony ranging from gallery to music player. We also did like the contextual menu or organizer the Xperia UI has over Zen UI. Overall, Xperia C5 didn’t have annoying bloatware apps plus it’s easier and more fun to use.

sa 2GB version kinumpara yung C5, ie mas malapit sa price ng C5 yung 4gb RAM version ng Asus ah, 14,990 vs C5 19,000. 2.3ghz Quad ang 4gb version and antutu score of 48k. 64gb din internal for much lesser price than C5.

Dude u r free to choose, if xperia c5 is expensive for u then go for zenfone. We are just sharing our experience that xperia c5 ultra feels more premium and better than zenfone 2. Of course, there are reasons why Asus zenfone is better than xperia c5.
