Bring on the hype as LG joins the 2017 flagship smartphones with its LG V30. The smartphone not having the second screen known from previous predecessors also has more surprises in store.
The LG V30 sports anew with a 6-inch, 18:9 Quad HD OLED screen without the second screen from the previous V20 anymore. Aside from that, the beautiful slightly curved edges of the smartphone serve as a frame for what LG calls their “FullVision” display. Protected by Gorilla Glass 5, the rear part of the V30 houses its non-removable 3,300mAh.

Being the 2017 flagship, the LG V30 is powered by the Snapdragon 835. It also has its 4GB RAM/64GB ROM running on Android 7.1.2. In terms of camera, the front 5MP of the handset comes with a 90-degree angle of view. On the other side, the rear primary sensor is a 16MP with a f/1.6 primary and 71-degree FOV. The secondary sensor consists of a 13MP with a wide-angle (120-degree angle of view).
That said, the video recording of the V30 is introduced with Quick Video Editor, Cine Video and Point Zoom mode. The Cine video mode allows users to apply one of the 15 filters while the Point Zoom makes users to simply select an object on the screen and the device will automatically zoom to it. Aside from that, the V30 launches with a Floating Bar as well. In which, like what similar to the Galaxy S8‘s side-screen, allows users to have shortcuts made to be accessed anytime.
The LG V30 price was revealed to cost for around $700. It will start to be available in South Korea starting September 21. There is still no updates regarding its global release.
