Earlier this year HMD Global was formed composing the original ex-Nokia and Microsoft employees. They also announced plans to enter in mobile market again thru the Nokia brand. And it seems we will likely see a handful of Nokia smartphones and tablets before the year will end. That info was directly confirmed by the management team of the Finnish company in China.
Between the four devices, three are said to be smartphones and one is a tablet–all will run on the latest Android 7.0 Nougat OS of Google. These two flagship handsets will be powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon processors, with at least 4GB RAM, Quad HD AMOLED displays, and will be water and dust resistance.
The launch is imminent but Nokia might be pushed the launch on early 2017 if they won’t meet the schedule, which may be a production or testing issue.
Nonetheless, the ex-CEO of Rovio is already running the newly formed company and promises that Nokia will “rise again.
