BLU has introduced a new entry-level smartphone to the global market last Tuesday. The G71 Plus has officially debuted with several color choices and basic specs that should contribute to its position in a more affordable price range.
Its design seems to have similar features to the BLU G51s, which was released last week, and other curious elements, such as its cameras positioned in a way that resembles the iPhone 13 Pro. The construction is made of plastic and has a textured finish.
Going to its technical details, the BLU G71 Plus has a 6.5-inch IPS LCD screen with HD+ resolution (1600 x 720 pixels) distributed in an aspect ratio of 20:9 and a standard refresh rate of 60 Hz. There is a 13MP front camera.
The rear cameras are represented by the 13MP main sensor, capable of recording videos in Full HD (1080p) at 30 fps. There is also a macro lens and a depth sensor whose resolutions are not disclosed, but it is possible that they do not exceed 2MP.
The smartphone is equipped with the UNISOC T610 processor, an octa-core that works with frequencies of up to 1.8 GHz. There is only an option of 4GB of RAM that can be combined with 64GB or 128GB of internal storage expandable with a microSD card slot.
Powering this hardware is a 4,900 mAh battery with USB Type-C charging. Other specs include Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity, Android 11, P2-standard headphone jack and a fingerprint scanner on the rear.
BLU has yet to reveal suggested prices for the G71 Plus, but we know that the device will be available on the global market in four color options — white, blue, olive green and bronze.
