Sony LinkBuds with open-ring design now official

Sony has launched its latest TWS earbuds with a unique design, the Sony LinkBuds. It features an open-ring design that allows its users to hear more ambient sound at all times and be more perceptive to their surroundings.

The Sony LinkBuds is equipped with the brand’s proprietary Processor V1 DSEE audio upscaling and connects via Bluetooth 5.2, and a 12mm ring audio driver. It also brings a Speak To Chat function that pauses the audio if the user is engaged in a conversation, a Wide-area tap feature for easier gestures, as well as tap-based access to Spotify playlists.

Moreover, the LinkBuds supports Google’s Fast Pair feature which allows quick pairing with Android devices, as well as support for Google Assistant, and Alexa. It is also compatible with Microsoft Soundscape.

For battery, it packs up to 5.5 hours of battery life and a total of up to 17.5 hours with the charging case. In addition, the charging case comes with features such as IPX4 water resistance against sweat and splashes along with fast charging capabilities and it charges via USB Type-C.

The Sony LinkBuds is available in two colorways and is priced at USD 179.99 (~PHP 9,228). It will be available soon in various countries.

However, there’s no word yet for availability in the Philippines.
