Mitsubishi has launched the latest 2022 Xpander at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show. It now has a restyled exterior and interior including an all-new facelift, and a new transmission.
The 2022 Xpander features Mitsubishi’s latest Dynamic Shield design. The front grille comes with a two-bar design finished in black. Meanwhile, the lower section has a honeycomb mesh design. It also has new T-shaped LED headlights, revised LED daytime running lights, LED taillights, and 17-inch alloy wheels in a two-tone finish.

Going on the interior, the Xpander has a horizontal instrument panel with a 9-inch touchscreen. The new Xpander removes the hand level parking brake and replaces it with a new electric parking brake that frees up additional space in the center console. It also include a large-capacity tray on the center console that can hold smartphones, and Type A and Type C USB charging outlets for the rear passengers.
For the engine, the 2022 Xpander has a new continuously variable transmission (CVT) that is claimed to deliver better fuel efficiency and refined power delivery. It is powered by a 1.5L in-line four-cylinder petrol engine that has an external exhaust gas recirculation system to aid fuel efficiency.
The all-new 2022 Xpander comes in Blade Silver Metallic, Quartz Metallic Pearl, Graphite Gray Metallic, Jet Black Mica, Red Metallic and Deep Bronze Metallic. While the higher-end variants of the Xpander will come with additional colors such as Sunrise Orange.
As of now, there is no specific pricing for the 2022 Mitsubishi Xpander.
