ZTE, a Chinese telecommunications corporation, has secured an agreement to provide electricity to third telco DITO Telecommunity’s data center in Batangas.
The DITO Super Core data center in Batangas is the only one in the Philippines to meet the stringent Uptime Tier III design requirement. It was constructed to enhance the telecommunications company’s data offerings and digital infrastructure.
DITO built the data center with catastrophe resilience as a primary design principle to ensure its network communications safety.
The data center will also try to deal with issues related to sustainability and efficiency in the telecommunications sector.
After that, ZTE will give its assistance in building the data center. The Chinese firm will provide micro-module solutions for rapid, compliant deployment and energy-efficient iDCIM Intelligent Management System technology.
The DITO Super Core Data Center is like the “heart of the body,” according to ZTE Philippines President Wan Min since a business needs a “safe and healthy beating heart” to function. He also said that cutting-edge innovation would be used at the site. As a result of its several layers of security, the data center is “really trustworthy,” as Min put it.
Despite offering a small selection of prepaid promotions, DITO has attracted over 12 million customers since going live.
