YouTube has finally signaled that they are exploring NFT or non-fungible tokens on its platform. These NFTs will be made by video creators on Youtube and may come in different types of digital assets ranging from images and videos.
These digital tokens are stored and exists on blockchain technology and each is a unique one and will not be copied or duplicated.
Previously, a popular Youtube video “Charlie bit my finger again” has been made into an NFT video and was sold for more than $700K+ USD.
Other platforms like Facebook and Instagram of Meta have showed interest on offering NFTs. The latest one to offer NFT feature is Twitter on which there will be options for users to use an NFT profile photo in hexagon shape.
