May is the month of these two devices. With Nokia X6 officially released in China and Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 got released here in the Philippines. While we do have patience in the official PH of Nokia X6, we just cannot wait to compare these two side-by-side to see which one is better in terms of specifications.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 comes with a larger screen with a 5.99-inch FHD+ screen 2.5D curved glass with a screen resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels and an aspect ratio of 18:9. While Nokia X6 has 5.8-inch IPS LCD display with a screen resolution of 1080 x 2280 pixels and an aspect ratio of 19:9. From the looks of it, Xiaomi is heavier with 180 gram also with measurements of 158.5 x 75.5 x 8.1 mm while Nokia X6 has dimension measurements of 147.2 x 71 x 8 mm weighing 153 grams.
Under the hood, both devices carry the same chipset and run the same operating system, however, Nokia has the higher GPU with Adreno 509 while Redmi note 5 has Adreno 506. Apart from that, both have two storage variants with Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 having 3GB RAM + 32GB / 4GB RAM + 64GB storage while Nokia X6 has 4GB RAM + 32GB storage or 4GB/6GB RAM + 64GB storage.
Going to the camera department, Nokia X6 has more quality on the photos with 16-megapixel + 5-megapixel rear camera and a 16-megapixel front-facing camera. For the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5, it also houses dual 12-megapixel + 5-megapixel with a 13-megapixel front-facing camera. Not bad for a smartphone.
Unlike the Nokia X6, Redmi Note 5 doesn’t have the facial recognition technology while its older brother has this feature. When it comes to the phone’s lifespan Redmi Note 5 is packed with a whopping 4000 mAh while Nokia only has 3060 mAh battery capacity.
