It’s a battle of fully specced devices – will the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 able to steal the crowd from the Huawei Mate 20 Pro?

Huawei Mate 20 Pro pros over Xiaomi Mi Mix 3
Both are sporting AMOLED displays but the Mi Mix 3 will reflect sun better due to its Super AMOLED distinction. However, videos will be crisper with the Mate 20 Pro coming with a 1440p resolution.
Xiaomi’s latest flagship features that beautiful full-screen display thanks to its mechanical slider for cameras in which the whole screen slides down. With the backing made out of ceramic, it can withstand deeper grooves of scratches. On the flip side, Huawei’s top-end flagship is a tad lighter at 189 g with the official IP68 rating.

Kirin 980(7 nm) vs Snapdragon 845(10nm) — Overall raw performance and dual-NPU support put Huawei’s SoC ahead here. Although the Mi Mix 3 goes up to 10GB RAM and 512GB internal storage while the Mate 20 Pro can expand, that is, if you’re willing to spend on a nano card.
Xiaomi offers 12MP wide +12MP telephoto for the main camera with 24MP + 2MP depth for the selfie camera. Comparing to the triple lens game of Huawei, it seems to be a no-brainer choice here, however, video recording at 4K is capped at 30fps while slow motion 960fps works only at 720p.
Clearly, the battery department will go with the Mate 20 Pro thanks to its larger 4200 mAh along with support for reverse wireless charging. But it’s also worth noting that the Mi Mix 3 is also capable of wireless charging and quick charge 4+ for its meager 3200mAh.
The market for these devices is clearly different. You could either experience the future of full-screen display or stick to what’s considered to be a great smartphone in 2018.
