Last May, Xiaomi released the Mi Mix 2S in the Philippines showing us an all-screen smartphone with a front-facing camera at the bottom of the display.
Now, the device is reported to have a new MIUI 10 8.9.7 ROM update that is based with the latest Android 9.0 Pie.
The company has started the beta testing in August for the Android Pie which will bring the latest security patches, baseband updates, camera enhancements and general improvement with the device.
For a recap, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S features a 5.99-inch IPS LCD Full Screen 2.0 display supported by DCI-P3 color gamut with a screen resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels and an aspect ratio of 18:9.
Under the hood, Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 paired with Adreno 630 carrying RAM and storage variants of 256 GB, 8 GB RAM or 64/128 GB, 6 GB RAM. To the camera department, it sports a dual 12 MP, f/1.8 + 12 MP, f/2.4 rear and 5MP, f/2.0 front camera.
