Xiaomi Mi Fold 2 Specifications and Price

In recent years, foldable phones have evolved to have sturdier and thinner frames, attractive designs, and flagship specifications. You’d find those features on Xiaomi’s second foldable phone, the Mix Fold 2.

In terms of thinness, the Xiaomi Mi Fold 2 is one of the thinnest foldable phones available on the market. It measures 11.2mm thick when folded, but when unfolded, it measures only 5.4mm thick.

As for its weight, it’s 262g, and it features Xiaomi’s brand-new alloy and carbon fiber hinge.

In addition to the 8-inch LTPO2 OLED screen, the Mi Fold 2 has a variable refresh rate of 1Hz to 120Hz and a 2160 x 1914 pixel resolution.

The Eco2 OLED panel offers improved transparency while increasing power efficiency by eliminating the polarizer layer.

Aside from Dolby Vision and HDR10+ certification, this main screen also features Schott UTG glass.

Likewise, the Z Fold 4 has a cover screen for more smartphone-like functions. It has much to offer with a 6.56-inch screen, a 21:9 aspect ratio120Hz refresh rate, and even a selfie camera.

In the same way, as the 12S Ultra, Xiaomi’s new flagship also gets the Leica treatment. A 50MP IMX766 sensor and Leica optics are used in the primary camera.

In addition to Leica Authentic, Vibrant style, the device will offer other tones from the renowned photography company.

Additionally, an 8MP telephoto lens can zoom 2x with a 45mm equivalent and a 13MP ultra-wide lens with a 15mm equivalent.

In addition, it has a 67W wired fast charger paired with a 4,500mAh battery. Unfortunately, wireless charging doesn’t appear to be available.

The device is expected to equip Android 12 running on top of MIUI Fold 13.

Pricing and Availability

In addition to the 12GB/256GB model, the 12GB/1TB model is also available for ¥8,999 (around ₱74,400) and ¥11,999 (approximately ₱99,200) respectively. It will be available starting August 16, but it’s unclear if it will make it to the global stage or other markets outside China.
