Xiaomi’s Budget Flagship Mi 5X now official
The Chinese giant has officially launched the Mi 5X featuring a really decent specs and features with a $220 starting price or about P11,000+ Philippine pesos. The new Mi 5X is a cheaper variant to the Mi 6 with the same dual-camera setup.

Other specs of the Mi 5X is a 5.5-inch 1080p Full HD display with Gorilla Glass coating and metal design–unlike the glass on the Mi 6. Meanwhile, the internal hardware includes a 4GB RAM + 64GB expandable storage and the octa-core Snapdragon 625 CPU. Specifically, the camera is the same with 12MP + 12MP main for the rear shooter setup.
In terms of battery life, the Mi 5X is powered by a 3080mAh battery and runs on Android 7.1 Nougat with MIUI 9.0 on top. The latest UI provides some advantages over the current MI UI 8.0 including the speed and battery optimization.
The Xiaomi Mi 5X will be available this month for $220 (P11k+ in PH) in China. There is no exact release date for the Philippines and other markets but expect it to be around August this year.
