Xiaomi has officially launched the Xiaomi 17T Pro in the Philippines.
In this review, we take a closer look at its design, display, cameras, performance, battery life, and whether it is worth its under PHP50k price tag.
First off, let’s talk about the design. At first glance, the Xiaomi 17T Pro looks very similar to the Xiaomi 17 that we reviewed two months ago.

One noticeable difference is its larger overall footprint. The Xiaomi 17T Pro is designed for users who prefer a bigger display and a larger device.
However, those with smaller hands may find one-handed use a bit challenging. Likewise, its size means it may protrude slightly from smaller pockets.

On paper, the device measures 8.25 mm thick and weighs 219 grams.
Next up is the display. The Xiaomi 17T Pro features a 6.83-inch pOLED display with a 1.5K resolution, Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, up to 3,500 nits peak brightness, and a 144Hz refresh rate.

For those unfamiliar, pOLED (Plastic OLED) is a type of OLED panel that uses a flexible plastic substrate instead of glass.
In daily use, the display is excellent. Colors appear rich and punchy, blacks are truly deep. The high peak brightness also helps improve outdoor visibility under direct sunlight.

For photography, the Xiaomi 17T Pro is equipped with:
Rear Cameras:
Front Camera:
Video recording capabilities include 8K at 30fps, 4K at up to 120fps, HDR10+ video recording, Log recording, and a dedicated Movie Mode that supports up to 4K 60fps.
Looking at the camera samples, there is no doubt that the Xiaomi 17T Pro is capable of producing high-quality photos. We also noticed that image quality is quite similar to what we experienced on the Xiaomi 17.
Photos offer a wide dynamic range, good detail retention, and pleasing color reproduction. While image processing can occasionally take a bit longer than expected, the final results are generally worth the wait.
Low-light performance is also impressive, with the camera able to preserve details while keeping noise under control.
Overall, the rear camera system delivers social-media-ready photos straight out of the camera, reducing the need for additional editing before posting.
Powering the Xiaomi 17T Pro is the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 (3nm) processor paired with a Mali G1-Ultra GPU.
Memory and Storage Options:

For everyday use, the Xiaomi 17T Pro handles multitasking with ease. Apps launch quickly, switching between multiple open applications is smooth, and overall responsiveness is excellent.
We will also be publishing a dedicated gaming review soon, so stay tuned for a more detailed look at its gaming performance.
Benchmark Results
These results place the Xiaomi 17T Pro among the most powerful smartphones currently available, offering flagship-level performance for demanding workloads and gaming.

In our real-world usage, the Xiaomi 17T Pro delivered excellent battery performance.
During a typical day consisting of navigation, camera usage, social media browsing, messaging, and video streaming, the device only consumed around 23% to 25% battery over approximately 6 hours of mixed usage.
The PCMark Battery Test result of 20 hours and 23 minutes is also impressive.
The Xiaomi 17T Pro (12GB + 512GB) is priced at PHP 47,999.

The Xiaomi 17T Pro is a well-rounded flagship smartphone that excels in nearly every area.
It offers a large and vibrant display, capable cameras, flagship-grade performance, and impressive battery life. While its larger size may not be ideal for users who prefer compact devices, it delivers a good experience.
