According to Lu Weibing, Xiaomi Group Partner and President, the upcoming Xiaomi 15 Ultra will debut after the Chinese New Year on January 29, around February or March. It will be first introduced in China and the global release is expected to be announced during MWC 2025 in Barcelona, Spain.
For its specs, there is still no official information about it, but leaks have already surfaced online revealing its key specifications and live renders.
A leaker on X has shared a live hands-on image of the Xiaomi 15 Ultra, revealing its large camera module.
The aforementioned camera module is large similar to its predecessor, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra, but the camera arrangements, Leica branding, and LED flash array have been repositioned.
A red ring can be seen around the camera island and the image shows the Xiaomi 15 Ultra in a black colorway with a textured glass finish.
The flagship smartphone is rumored to boast a 1-inch type Sony Lytia LYT-900 main camera, a 50MP Samsung ISOCELL JN5 ultra-wide shooter, a 50MP close-range telephoto lens, and a 200MP periscope telephoto camera.
It will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite octa-core processor and will pack a large 6,000mAh battery capacity with 90W wired and 50W wireless charging support.
Other leaked specs include a 2K OLED panel with 120Hz refresh rate, Android 15 with Xiaomi’s HyperOS 2 for OS, and up to 100z hybrid AI zoom.
As of the writing, there is no word yet for the exact date of the launch. Stay tuned for more updates.
