Xiaomi 14 Ultra with 50MP Leica Quad Cameras Now Official

Global brand Xiaomi has recently unveiled its latest flagship smartphone, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra, ahead of its global reveal at MWC (Mobile World Congress).

The device packs top-of-the-line specs featuring a 50MP quad-camera system co-developed with Leica and the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC.

For cameras, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra now incorporates a more sleek and gently sloping camera module at the back instead of the bulky camera bump seen on its predecessor. It boasts a 50MP 1-inch Sony LYT-900 main sensor with OIS, f/1.63-4.0 variable aperture, and ADL ultra-low reflection coating with an overall improved design and faster processing.

Additionally, the main sensor is said to bring 43 percent power efficiency and achieve a native dynamic range of 14EV, and 136 percent more light compared to the Xiaomi 13 Ultra and 205 percent better extensive light intake than the iPhone 15 Pro Max.

Accompanying the main sensor are a 50MP ultra-wide shooter, a 50MP 3.2X telephoto camera, and a 50MP 5x periscope telephoto lens, all with Leica Summilux lens. The camera system also integrates the brand’s first AI-powered computational photography platform, AISP, which features camera modes to cater to the user’s needs.

At the front, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra comes with a 6.73-inch micro-curved OLED panel with 3200 x 1440 resolution, 1-120Hz variable refresh rate, up to 3000 nits peak brightness, 5,000,000:1 (Min) contrast ratio, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, 1920Hz PWM Dimming, DC Dimming, and Xiaomi Ceramic Glass protection.

The display includes Dragon Armor Architecture which uses a high-strength aluminum alloy frame and Ceramic Glass which is claimed to be 10 times more drop-resistant and 8 percent better than the iPhone’s titanium middle frame.

Under the hood, the device is powered by Qualcomm’s latest 3.3GHz Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 8-core processor paired with Adreno 750 GPU, up to 16GB LPDDR5x RAM, up to 1TB UFS 4.0 storage, and a 5,300mAh battery with 90W wired charging, 80W wireless charging, 10W reverse wireless charging. It also incorporates Xiaomi’s Xiaomi Surge G1 battery management chip to ensure a longer lifespan.

For cooling, it has a new 4000mm² dual-circuit Circular cold pump cooling system Vapor-liquid separation design.
