According to reports, the feature is still under development and is not yet available for beta testing.

The update will change key parts of the chat screen, including the chat bar and navigation bar.

The elements are expected to appear as floating components with a translucent, glass-like look with blur and depth effects, similar to the visual style used in iOS 26.

Moreover, WhatsApp is also testing changes to other parts of the interface, such as the “jump to latest message” button and voice note player, to match the same design language.

WhatsApp is continuing to refine the feature before a wider rollout. What do you think of the upcoming redesign?
