Apple is expected to follow its yearly tradition by releasing a mid-cycle software update this month.
This happens every January, and because of that, iOS 26.3 is expected to release soon. It might include security patches and bug fixes for supported iPhone models.
According to MacRumors, iOS 26.3 lays the groundwork for end-to-end encrypted RCS messaging between iPhone and Android devices. In case you didn’t know, RCS messaging is an upgraded version of SMS and MMS.
iOS 26.3 is also expected to introduce a wireless iPhone-to-Android transfer tool and a new weather wallpaper section with three weather-based wallpaper options.
Moreover, iOS 26.3 is expected to include security updates, software issues, battery drain, interface lag, and keyboard problems.
Keep in mind that the update is currently on its second beta, but Apple has not yet released a Release Candidate (RC) build.
Therefore, no exact release date yet, but as mentioned earlier, iOS 26.3 might arrive before the end of January. We’ll keep you posted once it is officially available.
