vivo has confirmed that the vivo X Fold5, will launch in the Philippines this August 2025. This marks the brand’s first foldable release in Southeast Asia.
The X Fold5 is the slimmest and lightest foldable phone vivo has produced, weighing 217 grams and measuring just 4.3 millimeters when unfolded.
On the camera side, the X Fold5 carries a ZEISS co-engineered system, including a 50MP Super Telephoto Camera supported by vivo’s image processing technology.
It also features a new hinge design made with aerospace-grade steel and carbon fiber, aimed at reducing screen creases and improving durability.
For protection, the device is rated IPX8, IPX9, and IPX9+ for water resistance, along with IP5X dust resistance. It has also passed a 600,000-fold test and is designed to operate in temperatures as low as -20°C.
Powering the phone is a 6000mAh BlueVolt battery that uses advanced silicon anode and semi-solid technologies to deliver long-lasting performance without adding bulk.
vivo Philippines has not yet announced the official specification of the device. It is also expected to announce the phone’s pricing and exact availability soon. Stay tuned!
