vivo has just launched the newest addition to its V series in the Philippines, the vivo V70 FE, just a month after the launch of the vivo V70.
In this article, we’re sharing our experience with the vivo V70 FE, where “FE” stands for Fashion Edition.
Aside from its fashion branding, is there anything worth looking at on this device? Read more to find out.

Our review unit comes in the Muse Purple colorway, featuring a gradient shimmer finish that looks clean and minimalist. It reflects light nicely, giving off a subtle glow that adds a unique touch. However, it doesn’t feel as premium as the standard vivo V70.
The device is also rated IP68/IP69, so accidental submersion shouldn’t be a concern. We’ve only dropped a phone in water once, and since then, we’ve avoided using my phone near pools anywhere near.

In terms of design, it may not appeal to everyone, but it does offer a distinctive look that can easily catch the eye.

The build quality is solid, and despite packing a large battery, the phone remains relatively slim and lightweight, making it comfortable to use for extended periods.
That said, it doesn’t feel particularly premium, as the plastic back and frame are noticeable upon first touch.
Up front, the vivo V70 FE boasts a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with HDR10+ support, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of up to 1900 nits.

For multimedia consumption, the display produces sharp visuals and vibrant colors. It’s well-suited for watching YouTube videos, anime, or movies.

One highlight is its flat panel, which offers a more practical and comfortable experience compared to curved displays. Navigation is smooth, with no noticeable slowdowns or stutters during regular use.
For cameras, the device features a dual rear setup with a 200MP main sensor and an 8MP ultrawide, along with a 32MP front camera.
In terms of image quality, the rear camera delivers good results with pleasing colors, a wide dynamic range, and solid detail.
However, there are instances where images appear soft, especially under harsh lighting conditions.
In low-light scenarios, performance is decent with adequate lighting, though some softness and noise are still noticeable. Colors remain vibrant, making the images suitable for social media.
For selfies, the front camera captures good detail and sharpness, with facial features remaining clear even in indoor or outdoor conditions. Photos may initially appear soft, but improve after processing.
Video recording supports up to 4K at 30FPS on both the rear and front cameras.
Powering the device is the Dimensity 7360 Turbo chipset. For day-to-day tasks and productivity, performance is stable.

It handles light multitasking without issues, though it can struggle under heavier workloads. In our usage, the phone performed reliably for social media browsing and media consumption.

For casual gaming, performance is decent. Titles like Call of Duty Mobile run smoothly with minimal frame drops, providing an enjoyable experience overall.
Benchmark Results:
One of its key highlights is the battery. The vivo V70 FE is equipped with a 7000mAh battery, paired with 90W fast charging.

For casual users, a full charge can last close to two days with light usage. In testing, one hour of Call of Duty Mobile consumed around 8% of the battery, translating to approximately 12.5 hours of gameplay on a full charge.

Meanwhile, an hour of TikTok usage used about 7%, suggesting up to 14 hours of continuous use. These tests were conducted at 50% brightness and volume.

The vivo V70 FE is priced at PHP 25,999 for the 8GB + 256GB variant and PHP 29,999 for the 12GB + 256GB variant.
Overall, the vivo V70 FE offers a unique design, excellent battery life, and capable cameras. However, its value becomes less compelling when considering its performance, which doesn’t stand out in its price segment.
It may not be the best choice for users focused on performance, but for those looking for a stylish device with long battery life and reliable cameras, it remains a solid option.
