Vivo V5 launched with 20MP selfie camera for P13k price


Vivo V5 now official

Vivo just officially launched the new smartphone from its V-series in India.

The V5 is the newest model from Vivo that measures 5.5inch 720p display with 2.5D curved Corning Gorilla Glass and sports an all-metal body.


It is powered by MediaTek MT6750 1.5GHz octa-core processor paired with 4GB RAM, 32GB internal storage with expandable storage up to 128GB.

The main attraction, which is the selfie camera is at 20MP accompanied by 13MP rear camera. The device runs on Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 with Funtouch OS 2.6 and a 3000mAh battery.


Moonlight Glow

Vivo boasts its 20MP Moonlight Glow selfie camera that ‘creates flawless pictures in naturally vivid colours‘. CEO of Vivo India, Kent Cheng added that ‘it is all set to create a new benchmark and will be widely accepted by customers and redefine the selfie experience‘.

Additional Features

Some notable features mentioned in the event is the Smart Screen Split that lets the user use two apps at the same time and AK4376 Hi-Fi audio chip for high-res audio support.

The Vivo V5 is available in crown gold and space gray colors with a price of $265 or P13k Philippine peso(before taxes).

Vivo V5 Plus was teased in the event but no information was provided. We will just have to wait for it.
