
vivo has gained a solid reputation in the Philippines for its expertise in smartphone photography. Recognizing that capturing and sharing moments is a big part of everyday life, the brand has focused on delivering high-performance cameras in its devices.
This commitment has been strengthened by ongoing Global Imaging Partnership with ZEISS, which continues to improve the V-series, including the latest V40 model.
This partnership was highlighted during the V40 Series Media Tour at the ZEISS headquarters in Oberkochen, Germany, on September 24, 2024. Media representatives from across Southeast Asia attended the event.
The tour gave attendees an inside look at ZEISS and an opportunity to meet experts from the company. They also explored the history of the vivo and ZEISS partnership, which started in 2020, and learned how both companies are advancing mobile photography, particularly with the development of the V40.
The vivo V40 is equipped with a trio of ZEISS-optimized lenses, a 50MP OIS Main Camera, a 50MP Ultra Wide-Angle Camera, and a 50MP Group Selfie Camera, designed to capture lifelike images.
During a Q&A session, speakers from both vivo and ZEISS, including Nick Lee (vivo Southeast Asia Product Director), shared how the partnership has helped both companies enhance their products. They discussed the methods used to test and improve camera performance, color accuracy, and clarity.
The event concluded with a dinner in Munich, where media representatives from the Philippines, Thailand, Taiwan, Malaysia, and Singapore had the chance to connect and share their experiences.
The V40 5G comes in two variants. The 12GB RAM + 256GB storage model is priced at PHP26,999, while the 512GB variant retails for PHP29,999.
