Vivo seems to be releasing another mid-range phone under its S Series before 2019 ends. Slated for a November 14th release, Vivo S5 will feature a new and unique diamond camera module for the three main cameras. According to the leaked images, it will come in three bright gradient finishes — blue, green, and pink.
Vivo S5 to feature a diamond-cut camera module
Vivo has already confirmed that it will release its newest Vivo S5 this November, however, we’re still not quite sure about the overall specs of the mid-range device. Aside from the colors and cameras, here’s what we know about the upcoming S5.
The leaked images point out to a fullscreen display thus leading us to believe that it will use a pop-up mechanism for the selfie camera. But contrary to that is a promotional image that looks more credible. In this image, it shows the front side of the device but with a pinhole selfie camera on the top-right corner. At this point, we’re leaning towards the pinhole setup. While the idea of an S5 Pro model isn’t entirely impossible, given how brands love to add “Pro” to their smartphones, it’s highly unlikely based on the leaks.
As for the price, it’s said to be less than CNY 2000 or around P14k in Philippine peso. Two months ago, Vivo released the Vivo S1 in the Philippines for P14,999 price. It features three main cameras, a massive 4500mAH battery, an Helio P65 chipset, and an FHD+ Super AMOLED display with a teardrop notch.
