Looking through the spec sheet, these two phones share a lot of similarities, they both have a 6.59-inch IPS LCD display with a screen resolution of 1080 x 2316 pixels, 86.0% screen-to-body ratio and 388 pixels-per-inch. Also, the same dimension measurements 162 x 77 x 8 mm, while the weight hasn’t yet officially announced.
Under the hood, as expected, Vivo NEX S comes with the more advanced Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 along with Adreno 630 compared to Vivo NEX that comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 along with Adreno 616. Both devices run the top of the line Android 8.1 Oreo.
In terms of the security feature, Vivo NEX S features the under-display fingerprint sensor while Vivo NEX is equipped with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.
Going to the camera department, both devices also share the dual 12-megapixel + 5-megapixel camera and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera.
The Vivo NEX series is packed with 4000 mAh battery capacity, both non-removable. The toned-down carries the 6GB of RAM + 128GB storage while the older brother offers more with 8GB of RAM + 128GB/256GB storage.
