VAIO Corporation has introduced its newest laptop and it is packed with tons of cool new features. The VAIO Z (2021) will be using carbon fiber three-dimensional which includes the bottom part for the first time and even uses it on the entire body of the body which gives it a lightweight body of 958g. This will even survive a 127cm or 4.1ft drop that has exceeded the MIL-STD-810 requirement. The laptop will have an 11th Generational Intel Core i7 H35 Series processor, with a 14-inch 4K HDR LCD screen that has a 99.8% of DCI-P3 color gamut and comes with a 1080p option. The VAIO Z (2021) also runs in Windows 10 Home.
For its RAM, it starts at 8GB which can be configured up to 32GB. The storage on the other hand will have a 256GB PCIe Gen.4 SSD and can also be upgraded up to 2TB SSD. It only offers one USB-C (Thunderbolt 4), HDMI output, and a headphone jack. This laptop also comes with a webcam along with a privacy lock. One cool feature is that it has a fingerprint sensor embedded into the power button for Windows Hello unlock.
On the display side, it can be opened and closed with one hand and is able to open to 180 degrees. You can rotate the display using its shortcut key (Fn + 2). The microphone has been newly designed and its stereo speaker is optimized by Dolby Audio. The VAIO Z also offers 34 hours of battery life when it comes to a 1080p screen while it will last 17 hours of battery on a 4K HDR screen. This is to the power of a 53Wh battery including a 65W PD fast charge.
There will also be a VAIO Z SIGNATURE EDITION with a black signature. This is available in “Signature Black” with a carbon fiber texture and carbon black colors.
Starting price for the VAIO Z 2021 will be 272,580 Yen, (PHP124,941.56 est.) which will have the FHD screen, i5-11300H, 8GB RAM, and 256GB SSD. While the VAIO Z SIGNATURE BLACK EDITION with FHD screen, i7-11375H, 16GB, and 256GB SSD version will be priced at 366,080 yen (PHP167,798.84 est.). There will be an additional 22,000 yen (PHP10,084.06) if ever you want to acquire the 4K screen.
