realme is back with a new phone in their number series. This time, they dropped the Pro+ model, making the Pro version the top of the lineup.
We have the realme 15 Pro 5G with us, so, is it really a better upgrade than the realme 14 Pro+? Let’s find out!
First, let’s have a look at its design. The realme 15 Pro 5G that we have comes in the Velvet Green colorway, and it features an eco-leather back panel, which offers good grip and comfort in the hand.

Unlike its predecessor, its camera module is now smaller and placed on the upper left side of the back panel. Even though it is no longer symmetrical, it now has less of a camera bump.
In terms of dimensions, this device is lightweight, weighing 187g, and has a thickness of 7.7mm. Additionally, it comes with IP68 & IP69 ratings for added overall durability, and it features an aluminum frame.

Speaking of the frame, the power and volume rockers are on the right side, a speaker grille and IR blaster are located on top, while at the bottom is another speaker grille, a USB-C port, and the SIM tray.

It may not be as premium-looking as its predecessor, but it does offer better dimensions and a more durable build.
Flipping over the device, the realme 15 Pro 5G boasts a 6.8-inch OLED screen with a resolution of 1280×2800, 144Hz refresh rate, HDR10+, and a whopping 6500 nits peak brightness.

The most notable upgrades to its display are the faster 144Hz refresh rate and its high peak brightness. Its display also comes with Gorilla Glass 7i, which is a great feature to have.
Using it for multimedia consumption produces great color accuracy with no visible color shifts when viewed from certain angles.

Its refresh rate also got a significant upgrade, which is nice to have. You can also enjoy HDR videos on YouTube, Netflix, and other streaming platforms thanks to its HDR10+ support.

Heading to its camera department, the rear cameras of the realme 15 Pro 5G sport a dual-camera setup with a 50MP OIS main and a 50MP ultrawide. The punch-hole on the front houses another 50MP selfie shooter.
Rear Camera Sample Shots
As for the quality of its rear cameras, it delivered excellent photos outdoors with sharp details and rich colors. Color reproduction is also great, plus it has a wide dynamic range with no visible deep blacks or harsh shadows. However, HDR processing is a bit inconsistent.
When it comes to low-light photography, it captures images with impressive amounts of detail and sharpness with good color saturation. However, some photos appear oversaturated, but all in all they are worth posting.
Front Camera Sample Shots
As for selfie photography, it captures true-to-life skin tones with good exposure and ample amounts of detail.
For its video recording, both the rear and front cameras can shoot up to 4K@60FPS without stabilization and 1080P@60FPS with stabilization.
Chipset, Storage, Software, and Performance

With the cameras out of the way, let’s have a look at its power. Under the hood, the realme 15 Pro 5G is powered by a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset and is paired with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. It runs on Android 15 with realme UI 6.0 on top.

Out of the box, it comes with some pre-installed applications, but they can be easily uninstalled if you want to free up some space. Navigating the display is smooth and responsive with seamless animations.
Using it for both productivity and entertainment delivers great performance with no noticeable performance issues.

We tried playing Zenless Zone Zero and so far it performed well, with a few frame drops and stutters, but only on rare occasions. Here are some of its benchmark results.

When it comes to its battery, this device is backed by a whopping 7000mAh capacity, paired with 80W fast charging.

During our video loop test, it lasted about 18 hours and 12 minutes. As for charging, from 0 to 100% it only took us around 47 minutes, which is quite nice considering its battery size.
Finally, its pricing. The realme 15 Pro 5G offers two variants: the 12GB+256GB configuration priced at PHP 27,999, while the 12GB+512GB is priced at PHP 30,999.

All in all, this device offered a significant upgrade compared to the realme 14 Pro+ 5G. It has a bigger battery, better camera performance, and a more reliable chipset. It may not be as eye-catching, but it still offers more value than its predecessor.
